1)Hazratbal shrine: -THe Hazratbal shrine is situated on the left bank of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar.The sacred place is anchored in love and respect for the Prophet Mohammad(peace be upon him), whose Moi-e-Muqqadas,(the sacred hair is preserved here.
2)Khanqah-E-Molla: -This shrine of Shah-e-Hamdan is one of the oldest Muslim shrines in Kashmir.It was built by Sultan Sikander in memory of Mir Sayeed Ali Hamdani(R.A)who visited Kashmir for meditation and preaching of Islam.
3)Jamia Masjid: -It is one of the oldest and most spacious of all mosques in Kashmir, situated in the heart of the city.The area of the mosque is spacious eniugh for 30,000 people to offer prayers at a time.
4)Takht-e-Suleiman: -Takht-e-Suleiman or Shankaracharya temple is located at 11oo ft.above surface level of the main city.This temple besides a prominent religious place of Hindus is of great archaeological importance
5)Shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani(R A): -This shrine is situated in Chrar-e-Sharif(28Kms from SGR)in Budgam district This pious saint is credited to spread Islam in Kashmir.
