Overview

Day 01: ARRIVAL AT LEH / LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Meet our driver / representative at Leh airport, after smooth check out driver to your hotel in Leh city 3 to 4 km. Take rest to acclimatize yourself completely to the high altitudes of Ladakh which is a must. Afternoon visit Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. Then visit Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. The Shanti Stupa holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama himself. Drive to Leh Market also known as Lal Chowk, walk through the beautifully preserved market where you will see different tribes selling their produce and shop displaying rare antiques and curio crafts.

Day 02: FULL DAY TOUR TO INDUS VALLEY

After breakfast at Hotel, you will proceed to Thiksey village, visit Thiksey monastery which resembles the Potala Palace in Tibet and was built in 1430 AD. Next visit Shey Palace and Gompa which was built by Lhachen Palgyigon, the king of Ladakh (then called Maryul), in the 10th century. Continue the drive to Hemis monastery to visit one of the most famous monasteries of Ladakh. Later on, the way back to Leh also visit 3 Idiots School campus.

Day 03: FULL DAY TOUR TO SHAAM VALLEY

After breakfast drive to Alchi village which is famous for the existence of one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh (a national heritage) Alchi Monastery, mainly known for its magnificent, and well-preserved 11th- or 12th-century wall paintings, all in an Indo-Himalayan style. Then visit Likir Monastery which was first built in the 11th century and was rebuilt in the 18th century, and currently, has a 25-foot-tall (7.6 m) gold-covered Buddha statue. Start your journey back to to Leh en-route visit Hall Of Fame a glorious museum constructed by the Indian Army. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defense personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in Ladakh. You will be passing through Magnetic Hill which is known for the mystery of defying the Law of gravity, when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up-hill. Next visit Pathar Sahab Gurdwara and pay obeisance at the holy place and drive back to Leh.

Day 04: LEH –- NUBRA VALLEY

After breakfast at Hotel, you will proceed to Nubra Valley by Crossing Khardung-la Pass on of the highest motor-able pass. On the way, you have amazing panoramic view of Indus valley, Shyok River, Himalayan & Karakoram Mountains range. Visit Deskit which is famous for its picturesque monastery built on a hill top overlooking the valley. Adventure lovers can enjoy the ride in longest zip-line in Ladakh or those looking for adrenaline rush can try their hands on the ATV Bikes. And drive further to reach Hunder famous for Double humped Bacterian Camels. The most attractive features of Nubra valley are the sand dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camels. Evening free for leisure Overnight stays in Fixed Camp / hotel at Nubra Valley.

Day 05: NUBRA VALLEY – TURTUK – NUBRA

After breakfast drive to Turtuk which is one of the gates to the Siachen Glacier. You can visit Thang which is the last village in India before entering Pakistan. Culturally, linguistically, and historically it is distinct from the rest of your Ladakh experience. The landscape and terrain is very unique, with stunning small valleys and high mountains and greenery. Return to Nubra Valley, spend the night in a camp / hotel.

Day 06: NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE via Shyok & Agham

After breakfast at Hotel, you will proceed to Pangong Lake by Crossing the mighty Shyok river and drive through the beautiful valleys to reach Agham where you can make a quick pit-stop. Continue further to Durbuk, where you can enjoy lunch at the local restaurants. After lunch proceed to Pangong Lake, arrive at Lake, the Lake is 136 km’s long and 5 km’s wide, 47% of this lake is in India and rest is in Tibet. The view of the lake is spectacular and breathtaking. Enjoy the unforgettable scenery beauty of Lake and the voice of Himalayan migrant birds. Night stay in Tangse or Spangmik.

Day 07: PANGONG LAKE – LEH

After breakfast drive back towards to Leh by crossing Chang-la pass and enjoying the amazing views of charming villages, beautiful mountains, animals like Yaks, nomads and beautiful valley of Changthang.

Day 08: DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh Airport to catch a flight for an onward destination with sweet Holiday memories.
